Rick is a graduate of the University of North Dakota, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts.   He also holds the Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist and Accredited Investment Fiduciary designations.  Prior to joining Gardner,  Rick spent over twenty five years in the financial services industry in various capacities, initially as a Financial Advisor and later as a firm branch and complex manager.  Rick is Vietnam Combat Veteran.

Rick has been active in a number of local organizations and has served in leadership roles such as past chair of The Fargo Theater Board of Directors.  Rick lives in Fargo with his wife Kathy.  They have two grown daughters and four grandsons.
